Giving birth is undoubtedly one of the most exciting and important times in a woman's life. Every woman has a specific idea of what labor and birth should be like. Some women wish to "go with the flow" and others have a very detailed list of preferences. My goal as your Birth Doula is to assist you in having a natural and rewarding birth experience, while making informed choices.
So often in today's busy society, extended family lives far away and are unable to provide support for the new family. Friends live nearby but have full time careers and children themselves. Thus new moms are no longer cared for by the women who are closest to them... but becoming a mom has not become any less overwhelming or less tiring! My goal as your Postpartum Doula is to assist you with settling into life as a new family or as a bigger family.
